CCD Monthly                                                       June 2026

Foreword:

Greetings! As China Christian Daily enters a new stage this year, we hope this monthly newsletter will continue to serve as a window into the life, history, and global connections of the church in China.

Last month, we covered the Asia Conference on Church and Mission 2026 held on June 9-11 in Manila, Philippines, under the theme "Disciple or Die 3.0." Centered on disciple-making and action, the conference called Asian evangelical leaders, amid a context where only 8.2% of the population are Christians, to move disciple-making from conference discussions into practice.

We conducted exclusive interviews with Botrus Mansour, secretary general of the World Evangelical Alliance, and Rev. Godfrey Yogarajah, chairman of the Asia Evangelical Alliance and the WEA International Council. Both expressed their hope for deeper relationships with the Chinese church and emphasized China’s important role in the global church.

Beyond the conference, we featured stories on faith, history, culture, and media, including the legacy of a Danish medical missionary in China, reflections on the Christian values through the pupular Chinese movie "Dear You", and the global impact of The Chosen through storytelling and AI-assisted translation.
